SI: Can you describe what it is like to be the Editor-In-Chief of ZOOZOOM?
KQ: It is really exciting, and at times, overwhelming. When it is the height of the season and we are in
full shooting mode, it can get pretty intense on all levels of production.
SI: How involved are you in the production of editorials?
KQ: I am involved on so many levels of each shoot and really direct them to have the ZOOZOOM
aesthetic and point of view. Whether it is through our fashion and beauty editorials, reportage
or multimedia pieces, we approach each with the same vision.
SI: How involved are you in choosing the production staff?
KQ: I am very involved in this process. Every single contributor ends up working closely with
our staff, so it is imperative they have the right sensibilities and aeshetic for us. If we like
someone, the style of their work and the ideas they are generating, then we can start getting into
ideas and concepts for the shoots. We will set them up with a crew unless they prefer to use their
own which we feel is up to our standard.
